Rainbow Tours offer several tours both in and around Cape Town. Visitors can book for half-day or full-day tours, or they can join a group and travel with registered tour guides for 4-5 days around this magnificent area.
All tours are conducted in luxury air-conditioned microbuses, with professional, registered tour guides.Tours are offered in English, German, French, Spanish, Afrikaans and other languages.
Guests are collected from their hotels for all tours. Half-day tours are 4 hours in duration, while full-day tours usually last 8-9 hours.
HALF-DAY TOURS
Cape Town City Tour
Duration: 4 hours (usually afternoons)
Guests will be collected from their hotels. Highlights include the V&A Waterfront,the Castle of Good Hope, the Company Gardens,the S.A. Museum, Bo-Kaap (the traditional Malay Quarter) and a cable car ride up Table Mountain.
Township Tour
Duration: 4 hours (usually mornings)
The cost of this tour includes a donation towards township projects.
Guests will be collected from their hotels. This is a cross-cultural, alternative tour.Guests will visit people in their informal homes in Khayelitsha and the surrounding areas, and will have an opportunity to interact with locals from District Six. Visits to various township projects are also included in this tour.
The Selected Winelands Tour
Duration: 4 hours (usually mornings)
This tour includes wine-tasting
Guests will be collected from their hotels, to visit a major wine estate in Stellenbosch. A Cellar Tour will enable visitors to gain insight into the production of wine, and allow an opportunity for some wine-tasting. The tour then takes guests to some fascinating venues in Stellenbosch.
Half-Day Peninsula Tour
Duration: 4 hours (afternoons)
This tour covers the best of Cape Town, taking in Hout Bay, Simon's Town, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
FULL-DAY TOURS
The Grand Cape Peninsula Tour
Highlights of this tour include the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Chapman's Peak, the penguins at Simon's Town, Hout Bay and Mariner's Wharf, Cape Point and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. At Hout Bay, an optional boat ride allows guests to view seals on Duiker Island.
The wonderful winelands
During this tour, guests will visit at least three wine estates and participate in two winetasting sessions. A Cellar Tour allows visitors to view the wine-making process. Stellenbosch, Franschoek Valley, the Huguenot Memorial and Paarl are highlights on this tour.
